I have erratic internet provision and war to know how to connect my speaker to my Mac book, using the aux jack from the speaker. I have the aux to jack for my van speaker but the Apple connection obviously does not go into the Mac book port. Do I need this: Apple MJ1M2ZM/A USB-C to USB Adaptor

Yes, is a 2020 model. Is the usb bit, the connection into the Mac book? The adapter I have already only fits my iphone
A 2020 MacBook Air has USB-C ports. Your iPhone has a Lightning port.
The adapter I linked to has a USB-C connector to plug into the Mac.
