Screen Time with Google Chrome

With my kids needing to do all of their school work right now on their iPads were finding a problem. A lot of the sites that the schools are requiring them to use are reporting that Safari is not supported, and in some instances it says at all. To allow our kids to use these sites we would have to download Chrome.

We prefer Safari, because we use screen time on our kids devices ALOT. We enjoy using the controls and ability to lock out non-approved websites. Does Chrome follow the list of approved sites or is free to navigate anywhere?
