Hello, my notifications appear on my screen but only when i open the phone. There is no sound when the notifications appear. I checked the settings for sound but they looks ok.

I GUESS ITS SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOUTUBE. A RESET MY CONFIGURATION, AFTER I RECEIVED NOTIFICATION WITH SOUND AND THEN AGAIN JUST NOTIF. WITHOUT SOUNDS. ON MY OTHER PHONE (ANDROID) HAPPENS THE SAME. A FEW NOTIF. CAME WITH SOUND, OTHERS WITHOUT. SHAME ON YOUTUBE.

I contacted Verizon support, they had me check all the switches and toggles, they finally told to me reset my phone to original factory specs. That worked. didn't lose any of my personal stuff or apps. My wallpaper changed and some minor settings that I fixed. Check with your provider they can walk you through the process. This was my third Iphone. I was pretty savvy on how to work it. This was frustrating and baffling.
I am having the same problem with iPhone SE 2020. Alert sounds for text, notification sounds for other apps only works sometimes. In doing a factory reset, do you download data through iCloud on your MAC computer? How is that done?

Do you think that the recent download I got on my old Iphone 4SE deleted my text notifications on my Iphone as well? Does anyone else with an SE have recent problems?
I have the same issue. Not always though, sometimes there’s sound but most of the time, no sound!
