Hidden File Showing at Boot Up

Lately every time I boot my iMac (running Mojave) hidden files show on my desktop and in folders. I know how to hide them, but is there a way to keep them hidden by default so I do not have to keep hiding them every time I boot my system?

the 3 key combination: Shift Command . (period) shows/hides hidden files

If this recurring Could be corrupt plist,

Found here Finder>Go>Go to Folder, copy and paste:

~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist

delete the com.apple.finder.plist. / the default plist will get rebuilt anew.

Relaunch your Finder from the >Finder>Force Quit>Finder>Relaunch
