IPhone 8 wifi assist cant be turned off

Hello,

I have iPhone 8 with iOs 13.4.1, the wifi assist button is on and greyed out so cant turn it off.

Screen time is off. No restrictions set.

I restartet the phone: it didn't work

I reseted Network Settings - Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings

No luck.

WiFi works fine, Cellular Data works, but I set it off. I can switch off all apps in Cellular Data, this works , but wifi assist button is on and greyed out. And the phone uses cellular data nevertheless.

Maybe you have a solution for this? I would like to switch Cellular data off completly when I don't need it.

Thanks

iPhone 8, iOS 13

Greetings, antonina193.

I see that you're unable to turn off Wi-Fi Assist because the button is grayed out. Good job on the troubleshooting you've tried, and I'm glad to help with this.

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch -- Before proceeding to the next steps, please be sure to have a fresh backup to keep your personal information safe.

If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch -- I'd like for you to reinstall iOS. The section titled "Put your device in recovery mode and set it up again" will walk you through all the steps to reinstall iOS software on your device. See if you're able to turn off Wi-fi Assist now.

Let me know how that goes.

Take care.
