Apple pencil broken trying to replace nib

I just tried to remove the nib from the apple pencil (gen 2) to replace it with a new one as the metal had started to show. However I couldn't get it to budge. Had to use pliers to prise it off however when I did it seems like I must have damaged the internal device. As it now doesn't work. This seems like a design fault and is there any way I can get a replacement from apple?

How many time can you replace apple pencil? The tip part of 2nd gen Apple pencil is wiggling, and I think that it needs a replacement as I saw one of the posts on the community that people were asking the similar questions. But does anyone know how many times the Apple allow people to replace the Apple pencil? I bought it over the last summer, and I still have one year warranty. However, I am afraid that there might be more serious case where the Apple pencil might not work after I replace it once because my current Apple pencil works fine with only a problem that the tip part moves when I am taking my notes.

Apple Pencil replacement request Hi! I recently purchased an Apple pencil, but after a few days, I was unable to connect it to my device. I believe this is a manufacturing defect of some sort as I took the utmost care of it all along. I was hoping you could please help me out, as my device is still under warranty.

The tip unscrews from the Pencil.

Pliers were not necessary.

Yes, you damaged your Pencil.

If it is still within the one-year replacement period, you can call Apple for a replacement Pencil.

Then, I am sorry, but you'll need to re-purchase another brand new Apple Pencil.

I tried unscrewing it but it wouldn’t budge in either direction at all. Unfortunately it’s just over a year old.
