USB Microphone

I purchased a Fifine USB microphone. I followed the manufacturers instructions for setup. In "System Preferences" - "Sound" - "Input", you see the USB microphone listed. When selected as the input device, you see the moving bars as it is reading the sound from the USB mic. In Audacity, the USB mic is listed as the input but will not pickup anything during recording. After many attempts with the manufacture, their solution was to reinstall Audacity or use QuickTunes. I opened QuickTunes and was able to record in that app after some adjustments. I hooked the USB mic to an old PC and with Audacity, it worked without any adjusting or set up. The MacBook recognizes the USB mic, and the mic works on other devices, any suggestions (adjustments) that you can suggest for getting this USB mic to work with Audacity on my MacBook Pro?
