Using Color Dropper in Final Cut Pro X

Hi, all:

Newbie here. I'm sure this is an easy ask, but I can't find the answer online. Supposedly there is a color dropper than can be accessed in FCPX, but where is it?

I'm trying to match the color in one clip with the customised solid back generator of another clip. How is this done?

And is there a way to customise the dropper so that it takes an aggregate sampling of the ambient colors in the background of the sample clip?

There is a color picker that's part of the system color tools. In the Video inspector for the generator, click in the color swatch, and in the system color is an eyedropper. It's not an aggregate.

You're clicking on the drop down that gives the Motion color picker. Click on the center of the black swatch itself for the system color picker.

Thanks for the response.

I'm still confused by the GUI though. (Apple is quirky.) I don't see the exact color swatch organiser that you do. The one that I see and know how to access is in the Published Parameters section below.

Ultimately I'm trying to copy the color from one clip to another clip like the image below (from the main image to the background solid).

I'm still confused as when I click on the graphic solid itself, what I've created from the generator, I don't see the system color picker function. Here is my view:
