I have the same issue. My XR touchscreen does not work right out the box. The phone was charged, then powered on. Prompted to swipe up on the Hello screen, touchscreen does not respond. I reset the phone several times with the Up-Down-Power button method. Still a brick, right out of the box.
My screen is frozen I cannot swipe screen to open or close
