PNGs not saving transparent

I’ve been noticing lately that my transparent pngs aren’t saving clear on my iPad anymore, and the quality is really bad. I’ve also looked back in my camera roll to see that it’s ruined all the previous images I’ve had saved as well. This is my only device so the images are not saved anywhere else.

This is really upsetting as I’ve paid money for this artwork that I now can’t get back in it’s original quality, and can’t fix the current images I have.

is there a fix coming for this? Or should I just start using other products? My art and the art of others is pretty much all I use this device for, so it’s not really helpful if that’s the one thing it’s absolutely awful at.

side note, I saw somewhere that if the image is above a certain size that this doesn’t happen, but resizing these drawings is not an option.
