Hello. I just got a 21.5” iMac. I have a second monitor a need to connect via HDMI. As my iMac only has the USB A and thunderbolt ports, can I use a USB A to HDMI adaptor to connect the other screen? I already have the adaptor and it would be convenient to not have to buy yet another cord.

Is the Thunderbolt port also USB-C?

Yes, thunderbolt port is also USB-C.
