I tried rotating my screen by going to the system preferences > display then chose 90 degrees then my screen went black. I plugged the charger. I tried pressing power button then command + control + P + R or command + option + P + R but to no avail. The touchbar froze as well only the fn key is working but the touchbar still won't work.

I connected it to the TV and it fixed my problem. Thank you very much for helping out.
I kinda thought that would be the reason for rotating the screen, being that it's for an external display. If you can give it a try for sure. Still odd that the MacBook itself just won't restore to the normal screen.

Are you talking about a connected external display? I have the 16" MBP and there's no such setting to rotate the screen on it.
I tried holding down shift + option + control and power button it also didn't work.

Not external display. I pressed down command + option and clicked Display. There's Rotation option then I clicked 90 degrees. I'm using 13" MBP.
Ah I see. I just tried that. Very weird to get used to. It didn't cause an issue though. Sorry I just wasn't aware of this. Did you try an SMC reset?
