iphone virus?

I have been searching on the internet and it says that phones can't get virus however, las month I was on a website and got a pop up saying that my phone had a virus. I deleted all the tabs that I had open, but yesterday I got an email from a "hacker" saying that they had all my information and photos and that he will send it to all my contacts if a don't pay him. I called apple yesterday and he said that it was a scam but I'm still worry. my phone is not jailbroken btw.

Delete those scam attempts. DO NOT repsond, DO NOT give any personal info to anyone.

Then clear your Safari history:--> Clear the history and cookies from Safari on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

When done, restart your iPhone.
