Locked out of my MacBook Air

Hello,

I locked my MacBook Air from my iPhone on "Find My". I created a 6-digit code. When I found my MacBook, I entered in the code and it said it was the "Wrong Passcode." I tried several times, some times I had to wait 60 minutes before trying again. I am almost positive it's correct. I tried restarting and shutting down the MacBook several times as well. Eventually, the option to type a passcode disappeared. It says that my MacBook cannot be located although I did turn on the Wifi, even when it's locked. I cannot unlock it from my phone or icloud.com/find because it says that it is not connect to Wfif. Please help! View pictures for reference. Thank you!

Hello EHYmee,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities!

I understand from your post that you locked your Mac from iCloud.com and now cannot unlock it using the passcode. Make sure you are using the passcode you created when you locked it from iCloud.com.

If your Mac is lost or stolen - Apple Support

"How do I unlock my Mac?

After you locate your Mac, you can unlock it with your passcode on iCloud.com. Make sure to use the passcode that you created when you locked it with Find My, not your device passcode.

Here's how to see the passcode that you used to lock your Mac:

  1. Sign in to icloud.com/find
  2. Select your Mac from the Devices menu.
  3. Select Unlock. After you follow the steps to verify your identity, you'll see the passcode that you need to unlock your Mac.

You can look up your passcode for a limited time. If you forget your passcode or can't verify your identity to see it, take your Mac to an Apple Authorized Service Provider along with your proof of purchase."

Best Regards.
