Cannot get Apple Superdrive to work on McBook air 2018. Need help pleeeaaassseee?

What should I do to get my Superdrive to work on my McBook Air 13" 2018?

Not sure if you are aware: you will not see any sign of the Superdrive on your desktop; you should see an icon of a DVD you insert. So, you are saying that you insert media but nothing happens?

Already tried that, remember these new McBooks have no usb ports per say. They com with USB-C thunderbolt ports X 2. So you must purchase the converter (which I did) maybe the Superdrive only works on the older models. The model McBook Air that I am trying to install the Superdrive onto is A1932 13" 2018.
