Good morning
I have been using Logic Pro on my MBPRo 2009 no problems.
I come to check some stuff on it today and theres NO out put at all.
and the speaker icon on my laptop is greyed out and I see no internal speakers in 'SOUND"
Any advice welcome!
It looks like the typical stuck headphone jack problem.

Turn the computer off, unplug it and take the battery out (if possible, let it sit 5-10 min and reboot. You didn't have auto update on right? What Mac OS are you running? Do you have headphones plugged in? Unplug and reboot.

I looked at that link, and followed the instructions of setting up a multioutput device but it didnt work.
So I read some of the other posts where they plugged headphones in and out a few times, this finally got it to work.
Not sure why it should start doing this? he headphone input was red until I push the jack in and out numerous times.
Why should it start doing this anyway!? computer getting old?

I plugged and unplugged headphones until the red light disappeared, then it worked, but I shouldnt have to do this! runnung ElCapitan for many years with no problems.
Yes, I posted this link for the other solutions not the multi-output device thing.
I spent that much time in technology that cables and connections became the usual suspects. Anything electro-mechanical like a jack is subject to wear, to get dust... Can happen whether brand new or old.
