Besides just trying to turn it on, what other troubleshooting have you tried? Try powering the iPhone off and back on again. From there, if Assistive Touch does not appear, try turning it off and then restarting the iPhone. After it restarts, turn it on again. I have an iPhone 11 Pro with iOS 13.4.1, and I just tested and was able to turn it on. It appeared as soon as I turned it on in Settings.

Next steps would be to take a current backup and restore to that backup. If that does not work, then restore to factory, set up as new not from a backup, and test. If it works from there, then try restoring your backup. If it disappears again, the problem is in the backup data. There is something corrupt there that is not allowing AssistiveTouch to work. You would need to restore to factory again and set up as new, and just recreate your content.

Thanks so much for taking the trouble to give such a comprehensive reply. I’ve found the solution thanks to this forum. Settings-General-Switch off. Turn back on and voila. There’s the icon. Still have an issue with phone going into white screen mode and hibernating itself. I suspect apple wfh have caused upgrade issues. But nothing is as bad as not having assistive touch so I’m happy. Ish. 🤸🏿‍♀️
