I do not find a way to eject my WD My Passport Ultra from my MB Air.
I am unable to manually eject my external hard drive used to run TM. It is not on my desktop or in my devices, nor anywhere I look.
MacBook Air 13", macOS 10.15
Error Message "Could not mount “Jim's WD Passport”. (com.apple.DiskManagement.disenter error -119930868.)"
OK Thanks - I found it by selecting -> About This Mac -> System Report -> Hardware and found the WD in USB.
Now, how do I control it?
Control this External Drive, Eject it now.
Where do I find the Disk Utility.app?
Start Disk Utility (/Application/Utilities/Disk Utility.app) and look at the left side bar. Do you see your HDD?
If yes – unmount it and then you may disconnect it.
If no – select -> About This Mac -> System Report -> Hardware. Do you see your HDD in USB or Thunderbolt section?
If yes – your HDD is present in OS X but not mount and not visible, in the Disk Utility.app too.
If no – your HDD not exists from OS X point of view.
Try to verify you HDD in Disk Utility.app.
Select FirstAid tab and press Verify Disk button.
Perhaps this will help locate a problem.
As I see your HDD is not visible in Disk Utility.app. Right?
