Macbook Pro 2017 13" Touchbar - Battery Suddenly dies

My Macbook's battery suddenly died, it was plugged in the whole time, and while I was using it, it went blank, and when I restarted it, the battery percentage was 1%, after leaving it plugged in, the percentage jumped from 1 to 6 and then to 20% straightaway.

My battery cycle count is only 189, but the full charge capacity has weirdly gone down to only 3100 MAh.

What do you think the problem is? Do I need a battery replacement?

MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.15

see if you qualify:

otherwise—

for battery management

Try resetting the SMC https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295

if no resolve

Try resetting NVRAM/PRAM http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379

Verify your Battery condition from the BATT icon upper left hold the Option key;

anything but Condition : Normal need to be serviced.
