iPhone 7 Plus stuck on charge screen

I have an iPhone 7 Plus which currently won't turn on.

When I turn it on, the phone will ask to be charged - red battery with iPhone cable

I plug my cable in and the cable disappears from the screen (indicating it's charging)

After two hours, the phone is still on the red battery screen. When I unplug the cable the phone immediately goes to the red battery with the iPhone cable screen.

I've tried the following methods:

  1. Warming the iPhone: As its currently very cold where I reside, I've tried rubbing the phone between my palms to warm the battery up. Same result as above.
  2. "Hard Reset": I've tried holding the volume buttons together for 60 seconds. Same result as above.

Can anyone recommend what else I can do. My priority is my data as I don't want that lost and unfortunately I haven't backed up in a while.

Force restart iPhone - Apple Support ⬇︎⬇︎TRY THIS AGAIN and if force restart does not work...put it in Recovery Mode...

Press and hold both the volume down button and the Sleep/Wake button.

When the Apple logo appears, release both buttons.

Note: If iPhone still doesn’t turn on, or if it gets stuck during start up, see the Apple Support article If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won’t turn on or is frozen.

If that does not work try to put your phone in Recovery Mode...⬇︎⬇︎ full instructions in the link above...⬆︎⬆︎

Short instructions...⬇︎⬇︎

Connect your device to a computer. On a Mac with macOS Catalina 10.15, open Finder. On a Mac with macOS Mojave 10.14 or earlier, or on a PC, open iTunes.

Press and hold the Top (or Side) and Volume Down buttons at the same time. Keep holding them until you see the recovery mode screen.

It may take a few tries to get into Recovery Mode but when you do then the phone will be recognized...

It may be a hardware issue. Something related to battery & power supply.

If my guess is correct, no soft or hard resets will work until you get the device to an authorized apple service center.
