I have used handoff on my early 2011 macbook pro in the past from my iPhone 6s. However, I went to use it today and I am unable. Did this functionality get removed? Planned obsolescence?
I think its pretty messed up that I can no longer use a function of my mac and iPhone that clearly used to be there.

your Apple devices no longer use various aspects of Continuity.

Perhaps some of your products OS are seriously outdated?

Each of Continuity's sections has an ability; most these work OK
between my iPhone SE (iOS 13.4.1 ~ & Mac Mini Late 2012, i7 Q.C.
2.3GHz (server) w/ Mac 10.11.6, 10.9.5, & 10.13.6; in two hard drives.
So you may have to check and re-check settings; restart your mac
and your phone, to see if you can sync their software; handoff, etc.
Helps should you choose to identify systems in your Apple products.
