Can handoff be used in macOS Sierra?

Hi I have a 2012 MacBook Air that is one macOS Sierra can I use handoff on it

Handoff no longer available High Sierra I have used handoff on my early 2011 macbook pro in the past from my iPhone 6s. However, I went to use it today and I am unable. Did this functionality get removed? Planned obsolescence? I think its pretty messed up that I can no longer use a function of my mac and iPhone that clearly used to be there.

Handoff on my Macbook Pro Hi , I have MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Early 2013). In the System Preferences it is written that I do not have no handoff option available on my mac. Therefore, I can not pair my Mac with my Iphone. Is it possible to built handoff option in my Mac? Are there maybe some applications available in order to substitute handoff option? Yes. See the Handoff section of System requirements for Continuity on Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple Watch - Apple Support

Thanks I did not know upgraded to macOS Mojave because I thought that I need it or later to use it
