How to fix iTunes error -54 'Music library file cannot be saved' on Mac?

Keep getting error message -54 Music Library file cannot be saved. An unknown error occurred. (-54).

Tried everything I can think of, including re-install of Catalina. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

the music library file cannot be saved. an unknown error occurred (13010) A fix was posted but I can't locate the Genius file in iTunes. Is there another fix more current? I'm running Catalina.

Installed Catalina. Music is in an external drive Cannot download music, get error 54. Can Installed Catalina and now get error 54 when attempting to download purchased items. Has also decided that I am not allowed to copy cds, get error 54 message. Music is in an external drive if that makes any difference
