Hello, I have an old iBook g4 laptop and attempted to start it. It will start, makes the apple startup noise, spinning wheel and it will turn off in like 3 minutes. I'm going trying to know recuperate old pictures i had in this laptop. Also, I tried inserting the iBook g4 install disc and it won't even go in; not sure if there is a disc stuck. Please help. Thank you in advanced.

If you have another old hardware like another iBook or Powerbook/Macbook Pro with Firewire, maybe put the iBook into target disk mode (press and hold 'T' during startup) and see if able to access the HDD?

Unfortunately it sounds like your iBook’s hard disk has failed and would need to be replaced. You will not be able to recover any data from this Macintosh. This is a good example as to why it is important to always maintain a current backup of your important data.
