I am getting this message: This message contains attachments that are still being loaded, when I drag a contact into an email. I saw on an earlier post that one should use the share button in contacts. That works, but it's not always convenient, especially when replying to an email. Is there a way to drag a contact into an email and be able to send the email? I used to be able to do this, but can't on my new MacBook Pro.

Hey allanfrommb,

If I understand correctly, you receive an error if you try to attach a contact card to the body of an email. This article explains how you can share a contact on the MacBook Pro. Make sure to keep the Mac up to date.

  1. "In the Contacts app  on your Mac, select your card or another contact card.
  2. Click the Share button  in the bottom-right corner of the window (or use the Touch Bar)."

Thanks for the response. I knew about the share button, but I used to (before Catalina) be able to drag a contact into an email and send it. Now when I try that I get the following message: This message contains attachments that are still being loaded. Please wait for the attachment to complete and try again. Being able to drag a contact into an email is a more convenient method of sharing a contact when responding to an email. Is there a way to drag a contact into an email and send it or not?
