Recall
I was told today that Macbook Pro 2016 13 inch screen had a recall and the 2017 has not been recalled yet but they should be as they have the same issues, any truth to this?

This is the service program that applies, as you can see to ONLY the 2016 models.

When Apple creates such a program its applies to only the group of computers that has a specific problem, that has been thoroughly investigated. No other problems in any similar computer are covered by the program.
While the symptoms may be similar, problems in other computers are likely caused by a different issue.
