MacBook Pro 15" 2016 Recall?

I have two MLH42LL/A units. One with 1TB SSD and one with 512GB SSD. Both units have 2.9Ghz Quad Core i7 and 16GB of ram. Both are TouchBar models.

I went to get a price on Trade-In, using a few websites that allow it, and was told both units are ineligible for Trade-In because there are active recalls on both units.

My immediate response is... What!? 😳

No one ever notified me. Is there somewhere that this is verifiable?
