verification code goes to my daughter's phone

in Password & Security-> Two-Factor Authentification-> Trusted Phone Numbers list ONLY mine and my husband's numbers.


However, verification codes go to my daughter's phone, not mine.


it started happening when i set up my daughter's new phone. (we do have family sharing)


how can i fix it?

iPhone 8, iOS 13

after 3 attempts with apple support the solution is:

get daughter's phone (a feat in and of itself)

log her out of her Apple ID, turn off phone, turn on phone, login to Apple ID again.


Settings> tap name up top in Apple ID, iCloud section> scoll to bottom, tap Sign out>enter Apple ID password to confirm

shut down

power up

Settings> tap name up top in Apple ID, iCloud section> login again
