Help to download iTunes to my Mac

Hi,

I have an iPhone8 that has been locked due to wrong password.

Now we need to connect it to iTunes to reactivate the phone and I'm trying to download iTunes to my MacBook Air without success.

I updated my computer yesterday to macOS Catalina, 10.15.4 and I'm trying to download iTunes 12.8.2 but when I try to install it i got a message saying: This update requires macOS version 10.13.99 or earlier.

Reading the system requirements and it says: macOS version 10.11.4 or later

How to proceed?

I'm a really n00b with Mac, normally I'm a pc-user (no access to a PC right now).... :-)

Please enlighten me how to proceed, If you can support me with a download link to use I will be really grateful!

With Catalina you don't have iTunes, Apple decided to remove iTunes and split the apps down to music, TV, podcasts and books.

When you plug an apple device in when using Catalina it should show up in the finder app on the left in Swindon

Thank you! That explains some of it... :-P

So I logged out from my iCloud and signed in with my son's (owner of the iPhone) to sync the phone into the Finder.

I was prompted to type a verification code sent to the other device, the phone, which is unactivated... Hmm.. How do I go around that so I can sign in with his account?
