I have tried to use the free app BarcodeScanner to scan a barcode. The box appears and it appears to scan, but it never stops scanning, and there is no image of the barcode. I have also followed instructions online for using the Camera to scan. The box appears, but it never actually scans.
Is my phone too old to scan?

The app may be obsolete or the company of out business. Try deleting the app and downloading a new version.
