Macbook audio is connected to my iPhone?

I just got a Macbook Pro 13" 2020 and the audio is weird. I was really confused as to why the music playing from my laptop was so low, until I found that it was connected to my iPhone. If I turn my iPhone volume all the way up, then my Macbook will be really loud as well, and vice versa. That means if I want my Macbook to play loudly I can't be ... for example, Facetiming a friend on my iPhone or else it'll be SUPER loud.

Hello there fullcindy,

Thanks for contacting Apple Support Communities! You are in the right place to get this problem solved. From what I gather, somehow your iPhone is controlling the volume on your new MacBook Pro. It sounds like you might have Switch Control enabled on your device. On your iPhone try the steps explained here Use Switch Control on your device to control another Apple device. Specifically go to the sections "Stop controlling another device" and "Turn off Switch Control".

I hope you find this helpful.

Cheers!
