I am having this same problem. Unpairing the keyboard and re-pairing seemed to work for a day or two. But, it's happening again. I'm starting to wonder if this is flakiness on the bluetooth chip related to eat. The reason I think that may be an issue is because it's quite clear that with a 10.15.4 update my fans run a lot less, and the notebook is a lot warmer. While I appreciate the quietness, I'd rather have a working computer.

I wonder if there's a way to manually increase the fan speed. See those extra spaces there, that was my Magic keyboard repeating.

It really appears to be a heating issue with the fan. I'm thinking MacOS 10.15.4 reduced the fan speed. Unfortunately, that resulted in it being hotter than usual. So, I grabbed Macs Fan Control software, set it to not allow the heat sink to get over 60C, and the problem is happening less frequently. I might have to drop it another degree or two to make it stop entirely.

I restart my computer, which caused it to run the CPUs for a long period. I had macs fan control keep the fans at 100%, and it couldn't keep up enough. I started getting a lot more repeating than normal. Here's what I was typing while testing it out...

we are still having some probbbbblems I think, and it's just nasty because it repeats repeatedly forever in an endless loop of repeatiness. I just can''t stannnd the keyboard repeating over aand over again, it's just not cool, or maybe it'sss too hot and that's why it doesn't work. I'm thinking I have to send my macbook pro 16 back to the garbage can.

Now that I hhhhhhhave the fan at 100% and heat sink at 52C, it seems to be better I think. But perhaps not, maybe it's just an issue with 10.15.4. But, it's happening less right now than it was a momment ago, who knows. It only happened at the beginning of typing this type, while before it happened throughout the typing session. The odd thing is, why did this not happen pre 10.15.4? That's what I'm wondering because the fans could not keep up when I first started the notebook a few minutes ago, even when I force them to 100% fan speed. So, if that's the case, there should have been an issue with previous versions ooof MacOS as well. I can't imagine an OS having both heating related issues and firmware heat related issues at the same time, that would be weird. I'm going to try and switch my mouse back to it's bluetooth dongle, and see if that takes the load off the bluetooth chip. Maybe I'll get better results with that. I was using the bluetooth for the mouse because I forgot the dongle at home once. We'll see how things go now. Since I did that, just before saying I would, I've had no key repeats at all. This is going on for a long time, and really nothing. Is that fixed now? Either way, seems to be a bluetooth chip bug of some sort, related to heat. Maybe it's just a faulty chip, and I need a new macbook? But yeah, this is the longest time today that I haven't seen a key repeating issue. It's just going on and and on repeating it's non-repeatiness, and I'm loving it now. Hmmmm, super faulty chip I guess.
