Mac OS Catalina start-up and shut-down screens misbehaving

Has anyone else noticed the Catalina startup screen dimming after the progress bar reaches halfway, and then reappearing for the rest of the startup? Has anyone else noticed the Catalina shutdown screen's dock drop from view revealing a static image of the same dock again until the screen goes dark? This happens to my MacBook Pro 15" (mid 2017 model).

M2 MacBook Pro laggy / choppy on system UI my Mac always feeling laggy on the system UI, (eg. in notification centre, control centre, scrolling, etc.) it will returns smoothly after Restart or close the lid (not 100% work) Spec: 512GB SSD, 16GB RAM have contacted apple support, their suggestions: Reinstall macOS, create another user account, run in safe mode, (update to macOS Ventura, I wanna keep in Monterey) problem still exists does anyone fixed this without update to macOS Ventura? maybe use some command line tricks thanks

macOS Ventura flickering screen I updated my Macbook Air M1 to Ventura on Monday 24 Oct. Within a few hours my screen started to flicker. I rebuild the machine using a USB drive (Create a bootable installer for macOS - Apple Support) After a few hours it started again. I notice this happens when I am using IntelliJ Idea Ultimate. Has anyone else encounter this issue? Perhaps when doing something that will use up a lot resources? I don't mind going back to Monterey I just hate the long process of rebuilding/setting up a machine.
