Mac is heating up

Hi, my MacBook Pro 2019 has during the last couple of months been heating up, when I'm working in OneNote and Word, basically Microsoft.

What to do? How to avoid and fix?

shut down and disconnect all external devices

reset the smc

repeat this process 3x

reset the PRAM - this is outlined in the link above

repeat 3x as well

reboot into safe boot

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201262

reboot normally.

with devices still disconnected is this happening?

you way want to connect your power on the right side if you had it on the left and balance the connectors so you don't have two on one side and none on the others.
