Macbook sees windows 10 computer on network, won't connect

Hi all,

At my wits end on this. I have a Windows 10 machine that has a shared volume, and it can be seen by every other Windows machine on my network. My Macbook Pro (mid-2018 running High Sierra) can see the machine in the network

However, when I try to connect I get the error below

I have credentials setup that I will need to use to connect, but when I click the 'Connect as...' button for th server, I get the response above as well.

Things I have tried so far

1.) ensuring Port 445 is not being blocked by Windows Firewall

2.) added 'local' to the DNS Entries

3.) ensured that the WORKGROUP is the same for both the Win10 machine and the Macbook

4.) enabled the 'SMB Server' windows feature on the Win10 machine hosting volume

and a host of other items I can't remember :). Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

MacBook Pro 15”, macOS 10.14
