You can't sign out without the password for the account.
The owner of the account will have to recover access to the account.
If they are unable to do so using Apple's iforgot service ( https://iforgot.apple.com ) they will have to contact Apple's account security team directly.

I forget my current Apple ID password and can't reset it. If I sign out can I create a new Apple ID and continue to use the phone as normal? I understand I will lose data in the iCloud
