Using Screen Recorder in a Zoom meeting

Hi Guys

Is it possible to use QuickTime or Screen Share to record a segment of a Zoom interview - for immediate playback during the same interviewee.? I've tried on my iMac and MacBook but it will only record what my camera sees (myself) and not the image/sound of the other participant on the screen. at present I'm forced to use a second device to record and 'show' the recording back by putting screen to screen. All suggestions welcome. Thank you.

Hi Dalkey1,

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. I understand that when you use QuickTime or Screen Share to record part of a Zoom meeting you're only able to record your participation and not the video or audio of the other party. I also see you'd like to know if it's possible to play back the recording during the same meeting. I can see why you'd reach out for information about this; I'd like to help. It's possible that you're only able to record your portion of the meeting because of privacy protocols:

"Some apps, such as DVD Player, might not let you record their windows."

How to record the screen on your Mac

I'd suggest reaching out to Zoom support for additional information about sharing video during a meeting and what restrictions on screen recording may be in place: Zoom Help Center

Best Regards.
