I purchased the Apple Watch serie 5 on the 7th since I put on the power saving mode 3 days ago, it stopped responding to anything else. I cannot even turn it off.
Has anyone else had this issue?

Then it may be so low in battery that it can't respond, put it on the charger for an hour and then try it again. You are pushing just the side button and not the digital crown?

Have you held the side button in until you see the Apple logo and then let go of the button?
If you are in power saving mode on your Watch all it does is display the time. It will not respond to anything else by design.
