MacBook Pro 2020 Cover

Hi, I have a new macbook pro but have been struggling to find a hard case for it. Because of the slightly different size there is no guarantee that a 2019 case would fit it. Does anyone know of a manufacturer who is producing covers compatible with A2251? I would really like to protect my new laptop from scratches and my clumsiness.

MacBook Pro 13", macOS 10.15

Yes, at last a case that fits. The keyboard half just snapped in perfectly. Attach the back first then it just clipped in on the front, no problem. The screen half of the case is a little harder to put on, but again start from the bottom of the screen and clip it in then clip the top and it fitted perfectly. Also the screen can open all the way without any issues.

Go to this link: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/283492658296, it was made in Sydney and arrived in a few days.

Keep a Cover Off of your Mac:

Your Mac would likely overheat - with that taking place Accidental Damage would be a considered culprit, and that would cancel any coverage you have whatsoever.

Amazon Sells Plenty of these:

For Me: I store mine in a lookalike book cover, and remove it when using the Mac.

Amazon Search Queue: A2251 case

Just use a Laptop Cooler:

Don't Use a Ventilation System Cover. With a venation system (fans for cooling it down), the encased MacBook Pro would be quite a bit bulky, heavy, and highly-prone to physical damage. If the plastic on the case were to snap, the MacBook Pro would predictably get a ding in it somewhere, as a result from the snap taking place.

Use of my Case and MacBook Pro:

So, I use what I mentioned above for the case, and, when using the MacBook Pro (as I am right now), I remove it from the case, and then place the MacBook Pro atop a laptop cooler. The Laptop Cooler plugs into the MacBook Pro. When use is complete, having used a Laptop Cooler, the MacBook Pro is cool enough to not overheat when placed back and zipped shut. I place each in standalone: The Zipper-Shut MacBook Pro and the Laptop Cooler in their own sleeve in my backpack.

OtterBox:

If you need to use such a case, OtterBox might have some ideas - I do not think they sell these items for MacBook Pro. Go here and perform a Chat Session (Click: The Annotation Emblem on the Bottom-Right Corner): https://www.otterbox.com

"That case is exactly what I’m NOT looking for. It has slits on the bottom, but none on the sides, where the Mac’s air intake is. That case would essentially choke the fans and prevent any internal cooling."

Use a Monitor Riser:

Going Here: About fans and fan noise in your Apple product. It reads: MacBook Pro has vents along the side and on the back. So, all covers are going to cover those locations. So, rather than a sleeve use a Monitor Riser:

This case came today and has two problems. One it won't let the lid open all the way, though that can be fixed (though you shouldn't have to) by cutting away some of the plastic. But unfortunately it doesn't attach correctly. I could get the front to clip in but then the back wouldn't and if I get the back to clip in the front doesn't, it is out by the extra 0.7 mm Apple added to the base to fit the keyboard. So no success yet. Even though this was advertised to fit the latest Macbook Pro (2251).

"I’m not talking about a case with fans built in. I’m just talking about a case that doesn’t block the ventilations hole for the fans inside the Mac itself. I have a laptop cooler, but that only cools the outside, not the CPU itself."

Questions on an item I See on Amazon:

I found this on Amazon: The description of the product (on the product page and on my order) say that it fits A2251 as well as:

A2289/A2159/A1706/A1708/A1989. So I ordered it. I was apprehensive because the product packaging when it arrived only shows the last three numbers A1706/A1708/A1989. So I worried that it will not fit right or block vents. But I just tried it on and it fits like a glove and there are vents on the bottom side where the vents are on the Macbook Pro. The top has a grey covering of leather over the plastic so it has a nice feel and maybe will last a bit longer. Not bulky.

Is it possible that for the macbook a2251 from almost 2500 euros the Apple does not make a cover? and no third party manufacturer produces a suitable one? it seems absurd to me !!! I would never have expected Apple to pay so little attention to detail and detail !!! I am very disappointed! total disappointment !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
