When opening Apple Music I have nothing in may library (although I have lots of songs saved etc on my iPhone) -
I get an error message: "The music library file cannot not be saved. The required file cannot be found."
I think it is because I deleted it but how to I re-build a library file to match my account and sync as per my iPhone etc??
Thanks for this - tried that but still nothing. In the end I had to backup my whole mac and reinstall the latest OS. Although it still didn't load with the library itself it then allowed me (prompted me actually) to create a new library file and once I did that it started sycning as per my apple music account. So, all sorted and my own fault in the first place!

Restore your Music library files from backup if you can.
Try holding down Option and Cmd as you launch Music to repair the start up error.
Or hold down Option when launching Music to create a new library.

For clarity I should add; the "Radio" and "For You" sections appear fine so it's clearly still picking up my account and history of what I've played. I just have nothing in the library below that which I should do.
All I was trying to achieve was to clear all downloaded music from my mac and rely on streaming and I did that in the most ridiculous way possible and broke it!!!!!
I recently deleted my music library files during an over-zealous MacBook clear out. Now I can't sync my music library at all!
