Facetime automatically quits the call

Is there a way to fix this issue? When receiving a call on my phone with the computer running, facetime pops up like it should, but then automatically quits the call on the computer and on my phone.

Hi DanielDeVries.

Thanks for following up. If the issue doesn't continue while in safe mode, leave safe mode by restarting your Mac normally. Then test for the issue again. The issue might be resolved.

If the issue returns after leaving safe mode, startup items are probably at fault. Apps can install such items in numerous places, and they aren't always easy to find or recognize. For that reason, you should first make sure that you've installed any available updates for your Apple software and third-party apps.

If updating your software doesn't help, try any of these solutions:

If you still need help, please contact Apple Support.

Take care.

Hello DanielDeVries.

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. I see that your incoming FaceTime calls are quitting on both the iPhone and Mac when attempting to answer. I will be glad to assist. Are you able to make an "outgoing" FaceTime call without issue?

Let's test in safe mode to see if the issue persists:
