FaceTime keeps trying to connect to dropped call after phone died and was powered back on

My phone died during a FaceTime call. Now when I try to use FaceTime it automatically 'connects' to the last call and looks like I am joining a call in progress but it never rings or connects to the other person.

Restart the device. That's it.
Still not solved --> Force restart iPhone - Apple Support
