Just got my new series 5 watch and it has accuracy problems with the compass, anyone know if this is a known issue waiting for a fix from Apple?

Do you use a metallic watch band as these are known to interfere with the compass.
Try this;
1- Go to settings on your iphone
2- Privacy
3-Location Services
4- Scroll down and click on System services
5- Turn on (Compass Calibration) and (Motion calibration & Distance )
Done all those steps you mention... and I do not use one of the metallic bands, have the newer sports loop. Also tried without a band and still the accuracy/consistency is not there.
I’ve that Apple recognized that there is a software issue...
The problem is accuracy. The watch compass is off by about 20-30 degrees when compared withe iPhone compass, both on true north.
Also, tried it at different locations to see if surrounding were affecting, but got no improvement...
I guess this compass is just a toy? Not up to my expectation with Apple...
