Somehow, pressing “shift” and the comma button still allows me to use quotations. Is this a software or hardware issue? Any solutions? Nothing was spilled on it.

Could you tell us in more detail which character you cannot make? Is it only the apostrophe (normally that is what is together with the quotation mark on the rightmost key on the middle row of a US layout)? Or other things as well?
Comma button on my Smart Keyboard isnt working (but works with shift+comma)
