Garmin Fenix 6 not recognized by 2013 MacBook Pro running Mojave

As the subject implies, my Garmin Fenix 6 Pro watch is not being recognized by my MacBook Pro, i.e., it does not show up in Finder as an external drive.

I disconnected the Fenix 6 and plugged in my wife's Fenix 5s and voila, the watch shows as an external drive with all of the relevant files.

My objective for this is to be able to upload .FIT files from the Garmin Fenix 6 to a 3rd party integrator, Training Peaks.

Hi ssjarvis23,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. I understand you're having an issue with your Garmin Fenix 6 and its ability to connect to your Mac. I'd be happy to assist.

I'd recommend you perform an SMC reset. The main feature of SMC is to manage the flow of power throughout the computer. In your case, perhaps an issue with the USB.

Here is a great resource to take a look at: How to reset the SMC of your Mac

If you are still experiencing issues after resetting the SMC I'd recommend contacting Garmin Support.

Thanks.
