Free year of Apple TV+ is expiring but I can't sign up?!

I bought a new iPhone 11 from an authorized retailer (Best Buy) in February and haven't yet redeemed my free 1 year trial of Apple TV+. I thought maybe my offer had expired, but when I looked at my settings on my iPhone tonight, it said the offer expires in 3 days. However, I do not see the offer anywhere when I use my Apple ID to log into Apple TV+ on any of my Apple devices. It only offers me the 7 day free trial. If I still have 3 days to redeem the 1 year free trial offer, how do I access it??

Here’s how to redeem it:

Turn on your new Apple device and sign in with your Apple ID.


Open the Apple TV app. Make sure your device is running the latest version of iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, or macOS.

The offer should be presented immediately after launching the app. If not, go to the Apple TV+ channel page where you’ll see the offer.

Tap Enjoy 1 Year Free.

You might need to find Apple TV+ within the TV App. (Swipe up) It’s in that. Don’t sign up for 7 days or this will void the one year.

The offer is valid for 3 months from the date when you setup your phone, so if that was in late Feb then it would coincide with a late May expiry. You would then need to claim it on that new device, it can't be done on one of your other devices. If you are still having issues then you will need to contact Apple, but you would want to do it fairly quickly to make sure it is still valid.

I was informing the OP of the procedure when you shared said experience and made the claim that the offer could be redeemed on any device. I was merely stating that your experience is not the normal procedure, and would ultimately be misadvising users who read it when that experience won’t be the case for most. There’s no point to in circles on this so let’s just leave it at that.
