If you haven't already done so, try restarting your iPhone and trying to play those videos again. A restart is a simple step that can resolve a variety of issues.

If this continues after restart, also try using both Wi-Fi and cellular data to watch those. If you locate those videos in photos instead of albums, are they still showing blank and not playing as expected? Also, if you're using iCloud photos, are you able to locate those videos signing into iCloud from a computer? If so, do they play there?
