How do I get Software Update to STOP prompting me to install drivers for a printer I no longer use?

Software Update keeps prompting me to install an update for a printer that my parents got rid of more than five years ago! I went into the Library files and deleted every reference to this printer that I could find. I even manually removed it from the .plist file. But the Software Update prompt keeps coming back -- how do I make it stop?
