Safari and IPv6

Hello

I have a problem with Safari with the use of IPv6

Many times it doesn't open my home page (Google), I have to reload it to make it work.

I noticed that by excluding on my router IPv6, thus switching to IPv4 the problem is solved.

Furthermore, this problem only happens to me with Safari. I also use Firefox and Chrome that don't have this flaw.

In Safari I only use "Ghostery Lite" as an extension, but even excluding it, the problem reoccurs.

What can it be?

Thanks!

Mac mini, macOS 10.13

Hi sparkettaccio,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. I understand that upon using IPv6 on your Mac, you're unable to upload the home page to Google.

Accessing your favorite websites on your Mac is important to fully enjoy your device. I'll be happy to help.

Do you experience this behavior with other websites, when you use IPv6? If you haven't tried yet, I recommend to follow the steps outlined in this helpful article: If Safari doesn't load a page or webpage items are missing You'll want to follow each section to see if that helps resolve the issue you're experiencing.

Please let us know if that helps.

Cheers.
