Monitor bracket with iMac in between

Hello,

I'm currently a Windows user and about to buy a 27" iMac, something I have been saving up to for a long time. I'm using two 27" monitors with my computer and want to keep using these with the iMac. I want to use monitor brackets to keep a clean desk. The idea is the have the iMac in the middle and one monitor on the left side and one on the right side.

I have been looking around for a monitor bracket that can hold two 27" monitors but I can't find if what I want is actually possible. Is there anyone here who is using this same setup or has a specific monitor bracket in mind that can help me sort this out?

Thanks in advance for any tips or help, it is much appreciated.

Kind regards,

Dion.

The stand on the in store purchased iMac models is not removable.

You can special order one from Apple with a VESA mount

see > Buy iMac with Built-in VESA Mount Adapter - Apple

Or you can use a clamp on mount with a store bought model

Thank you for your reply, but that's not exactly what I ment.

I don't want to mount the iMac, the iMac is just going to stand on its own stand in the middle, then I want one monitor on the left and one monitor on the right. Those two monitors on the left and right are mounted to a monitor bracket.

But I don't know what monitor bracket I can use for that.

Welcome Dion!

There are listings for dual-arm generic monitor mounts on Amazon but it is unclear if they can be separated far enough to squeeze 25-3/4 inches of iMac width between. Judging from the images, I think not.

I am leaning to two of the common single-arm monitor mounts like this style †:

https://www.amazon.com/HUANUO-Single-Monitor-Stand-Adjustable/dp/B0855DJXYM/ref=sr_1_21?dchild=1&keywords=computer+monitor+mounting+brackets&qid=1589906529&sr=8-21

Something like that style might allow more flexibility in positioning on the workstation to get what you need. Make sure to shop for models rated for 27-inch monitors. Some of the ones I've seen were rated only up to 22-inch monitors.

Ah' OK, sorry I though that you wanted to mount all 3.

Are you wanting to mount the 2 27" monitors to the Wall or onto the top or back of the Desk?

Personally I do not see any single mounts that would allow for that much space in between, so I think that you are going to need either 2 Wall mounting arms or 2 Desk mounting arms.

Hey den.thed, not your fault, my main post didn't really describe what I wanted the correct way.

I am looking more towards the ones you mount on the back of the desk. I was also thinking that the single mount with dual arms would not give enough space to place an iMac in between. So I think, just as Allan said, that the two single mounts would be the best option to go for.
